I just came back from London a few days ago. I was there on vacation, shooting some pictures. Oh, and I got a new camera, a Canon EOS 450D or Rebel XSi as it’s called in the states. I got myself a shiny (or not so shiny, since it’s black) new lens too. A Sigma 18-125mm with Optical Image Stabilization and the whole shebang.
I shoot this photo on the way back to the hotel after a few pints, I should probably crop it a little.

Another photo from Venice. Also, did you know it really hurts to look at the sun through a camera lens?

I was walking the dog yesterday, when I looked up at the Holmenkollen ski jump that overlooks Oslo, anyway, the sun was low and the light was just perfect. So I finished the walk really fast, sorry Balder, and ran back with my camera. Alas, the moment was gone. But I still shot a few frames, since I was already there, and this one looked alright.

I shot this picture last summer, on a trip to London. Usually most photos taken through a plane window look like crap, so I guess that makes this one a little special. It’s a little grainy, since my camera doesn’t handle the high ISOs that well. Notice the moon?

Here’s a photo I took in Brussels on a school trip. I had expected to come home with a load of new photos on my camera, but I only managed to take a few. This one is quite nice though, I think it looks cool. The only fault is that if you look closely, there’s a light “halo” around the worker on the left. I don’t know why it’s there, might be the jpeg compression or something. I can fix it but I’m to lazy right now.

I edited the photo in lightroom, to enhance the colors and contrast etc. I thought it might be interesting to post the original as well as the finished version.

Well, this is my dog sleeping. That’s basicly what he does all day. The photo isn’t super fantastic, but I’m posting it because he’s my dog. And I think it’s a cute picture.

Here’s (yet) another photo from Venice. The sun was going down and cast a yellow light on the top of this church. At least I think it was a church, it might have been a palace of some sorts. Anyways, I think it’s kinda neat.

Here’s a photo of the sunset in Venice. The top of the boat blends with the background a little, but otherwise I think it’s a decent photograph. In the background you can see the Ponte della Libertà, a bridge that connects Venice to the mainland.
