Another photo with planes. I just discovered this one in my vast archive of plane photos. There’s so many bad photos I should delete, but once in a while I find something I like. The problem with shooting digital is that I end up with so many photos to sort through.
I like this picture, it has some action in it with the smoke and all.

Angel

Monday, March 31st, 2008

Here’s another picture from Italy, but not Venice this time. It’s taken in a church, but I don’t remember where it was. My dad probably knows. The best thing about this one though, is that I haven’t edited it at all after I took it. I’m not against editing photos in Photoshop etc, I do it all the time, but I love when things just work and I can take a nice photo with only my camera.

Venice Fondamenta Dei Schiavi

Saturday, March 15th, 2008

Fondamenta Dei Schiavi is the front docks of Venice, with the Doge’s Palace.
I think I should crop the photo though, it has too much sky in it. I posted it mostly to show my dad how it works.

Venice Sunrise

Saturday, March 15th, 2008

Here’s another one from Venice. On the last day of my stay there, I got up really early, and even though it hurt it was totally worth it. First of all, the light was just perfect. But you had to be quick, as the sun rose so fast. Second, there were no tourists. The only people I saw was locals opening their shops and heading for work, a couple of people leaving for an early flight, and other photographers.

Dakota DC 3

Saturday, March 8th, 2008

I just got informed I passed the first set of tests in the Norwegian Air Force. Therefore I’m posting another airplane photo. This time it’s a Dakota DC 3, the most beautiful plane ever created in my opinion. The plane on this picture is owned and maintained by the fine guys at Dakota Norway.
I really like the colors in this picture, and especially since I haven’t edited them in photoshop or lightroom. I love it when things just work.

Cambridge Boys

Monday, March 3rd, 2008

I took this photo in Cambridge, when I stumbled upon a film set. I added a filter to match the old-school look of the boys.

Big Beautiful Doll

Thursday, February 28th, 2008

Another plane photo, since I haven’t posted anything in a while. This is a P-51 Mustang, one of the american workhorses during the war.
I like this pic, except for the overexposed spot on the wing.

F-16

Tuesday, February 12th, 2008

In celebration of me taking the first test in the application process to the Norwegian Airforce pilot school I’m posting this picture of an F-16. I took it this fall, when I took most of my plane photos. I think the picture is “truly ok” as a friend told me, but still good enough to be posted here.

Lion of Saint Mark

Wednesday, February 6th, 2008

Another lion in Venice. This one i located just outside the Doge’s Palace, on the Piazzetta San Marco. I got up early one day, chugged a lot of coffee, and trekked down to the Piazza San Marco to take shoot some photos as the sun rose. I got several good pictures out of it, might post some more later.

New York Nuts

Sunday, February 3rd, 2008

Yet another picture from New York, I don’t have much to say about this one. Only that I like the name, and that the man playing the trumpet isn’t the centre of attention as much as I’d like.

6 Av

Sunday, February 3rd, 2008

Like the Boston Terrier in NY picture, this is one of the first photographs I took with a SLR. Because it wasn’t a digital SLR, and the film speed was adjusted to outdoor light, the poor indoor lighting in the subway station made it difficult to get a good picture. But I like the idea and composition of it. Also, there is still that charm of old school photography that I’ve previously mentioned.
I think I’m going to revamp it photoshop later.
