New York Nuts
Sunday, February 3rd, 2008Yet another picture from New York, I don’t have much to say about this one. Only that I like the name, and that the man playing the trumpet isn’t the centre of attention as much as I’d like.

Like the Boston Terrier in NY picture, this is one of the first photographs I took with a SLR. Because it wasn’t a digital SLR, and the film speed was adjusted to outdoor light, the poor indoor lighting in the subway station made it difficult to get a good picture. But I like the idea and composition of it. Also, there is still that charm of old school photography that I’ve previously mentioned.
I think I’m going to revamp it photoshop later.

Here’s a photoshop edit of the BT in NYC picture I just posted. I made it for a school project, and I might as well admit that I was heavily inspired by Andy Warhol. I like it though, it’s colorful and has a cute dog in it :)

This one I dug out of the treasure chest. It is one of the first pictures I ever took with a SLR camera. The camera was of the old non-digital kind, so I had to develop the film and everything. Great fun, but time consuming. I took this picture in NYC when I stayed there for a week in 2007. I think I was trying to find the The Norwegian seamen’s church, when I stumbled over this little Boston Terrier just sitting there. The light was right, so I took a few shots, then walked on. I don’t know why, but I really like this pic. I think it’s the old school charm, mixed with a cute dog, that does it.
